How does it work?
Laser energy disrupts the cross-linking of collagen fibers in the tissue layers of the soft palate, causing collagen to contract and increasing the stiffness of the tissue. Cells and collagen, now in closer proximity, may also form new connections that further increase tissue stiffness over time. By tightening these tissue layers, Solea Sleep reduces the vibrations that cause patients to snore.
The penetration depth of Solea in soft tissue makes all the difference. Solea efficiently delivers energy to deeper tissue layers that contain high concentrations of collagen without ablating superficial tissue layers. The tissue is gently warmed at the perfect depth in the soft palate, resulting in rapid contraction and instant results.

What does the laser snore procedure look like?
People who have sleep apnea never get the rest that they deserve. They have trouble breathing which constantly wakes them up throughout the night. Many people who have sleep apnea have multiple health problems. They are always exhausted. Being tired can affect people at home and at work. They may be miserable and have trouble concentrating. Lasers can reshape the throat and relieve associated breathing problems when sleep apnea is caused by tissue overgrowth in the throat. If you are not a candidate for that, we also offer many sleep appliances that can replace a CPAP. We can also bill it to your medical insurance.
