On my birthday five years ago, I was going to end my life. I was going to drive my car off a 300-foot cliff, as I put the car into gear and hit the gas and closing in on the cliff my phone started to ring it was my son he said, “Hi dad, just wanted to wish you a happy birthday and tell you I love you.” I hit the brakes as hard as I could. From that moment, I decided that I had to get better, if not for me for my kids.
I checked into rehab in Salt Lake City at 119 pounds and very, very sick. I spent 60 days in treatment and that was the first blessing of many I have received since then. I now have my family back. My wife, my daughter, and son, we are all together. I have five years clean now. I still had one thing I needed to get done and that was my teeth. Every day I would look in the mirror and it would take me right back into my past. So my wife told me to call Hadfield Dental because she heard about them on 97.1.
I was so embarrassed to have anyone see my teeth so I sent an email explaining my problems to about four dentist offices. I am not kidding, it was ten seconds after hitting send that I received a response from Nicole at Hadfield Dental. I didn’t hear from the other three for at least a month. She was so willing to help and assured me that as few people as possible would see my teeth. She is what I would call world class, very professional, very helpful and she was so caring.
I decided to call and I asked for Nicole, but she was out of the office and as I gave my name for her to call me back Kendra said to me, “I can help you, Nicole has filled me in.” Kendra talked to me as if we had known each other for years. She is also a world-class person. I was thinking wow! If this dentist is as good as the people he has working for him then this is the place for me.
I went in and had a consult and met Dr. Hadfield and his staff. This is where I met Stephanie, another world-class person. She explained everything so thorough and I could tell she knew what she was doing. I am not kidding when I say I felt like I knew everyone there for years. They made me feel so welcome and comfortable. Dr. Hadfield gave me more options than I thought I had with my teeth. He explained everything and they priced everything and after I saw the prices I thought I am never going to be able to afford this.
So I went on a dentist shopping spree. Boy was I surprised with what I found out there! Dr. Hadfield was not the cheapest but he was not the most expensive either. I found that Dr. Hadfield was the most honest, down to earth, and knowledgeable dentist with a fair price. I had found his staff was the best I have ever seen. So I saved enough money to get my smile back.
I went in for my pre-sedation visit to go over everything. He asked me if I was having headaches, if my ears hurt, and I said yes. I thought it was my MS, he said he wanted to do something different and not just fix my smile but to fix my health. I was bummed on the way home because I thought maybe he wanted to just charge me more money, but that was so far from it.
I went in the next morning for my sedation and I did not feel a thing. When I woke up I had a new smile, a new bite and I felt like a new man. I can’t have pain meds so I was scared I was going to hurt, but I didn’t hurt at all. I took some over the counter meds and that was it. I could not believe it. I had very little pain for the amount of work I had done.
The next day they called to check on me. Dr. Hadfield even gave me his cell phone number just in case I needed him. After the first two weeks my headaches were all but gone, my ears have quit itching, hurting, and popping. Dr. Hadfield and his world-class team not only changed my smile, they changed my life. I could go on for hours and hours about my experience at Dr. Hadfield’s.
My credit is shot, I can never have pain meds, and I was diagnosed with MS. I never thought that I would ever be able to get my teeth fixed but Dr. Hadfield and his staff found a way for me to do it and changed my life. Janell, you also are world class. Thank you for all that you have done for me. If you want to laugh and have fun at the dentist’s office just go hang out at Dr. Hadfield’s office!
